Mohammad Vesal is an associate professor of economics at the Graduate School of Management and

Economics (GSME). Mohammad joined Sharif in 2014 after receiving his PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). His research interests are environmental and resource economics, education, and taxation. Mohammad teaches graduate courses in Development Economics, Public Economics, Econometrics and Microeconomics. Mohammad is currently the research deputy at the GSME. He was the head of the economics department between 2017 and 2021.

Mohammad also holds MSc Economics, BSc Electrical and BSc Petroleum Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
